Venture Science Doctorate: venture-creation PhD program (funded scholarship)

The Venture Science Doctorate (VSD) program is a 3-year, full-time, primarily remote PhD program focused on solving global challenges through science and creating new companies. The program is backed by a philanthropic consortium and embedded in a global R&D coalition. Candidates will work with accredited courses, lab work, and partner research groups to develop their hypotheses and validate technology through techno-economic analysis. The goal is to build a scalable technology capable of product market fit and spin-out a venture.

Requirements

• Master’s degree (or higher) in the natural sciences, engineering, or a closely related technical field
• Ambition and capability to launch a science company using advanced research
• Determination and resilience to develop and co-found a science-based venture
• Strong ability to think creatively from first principles
• Relevant prior experience in entrepreneurship, innovation, new technology development, and/or solving large-scale societal challenges
• Strong communication and influencing skills
• Ability to commit full-time to the program
