Role Overview

Delta Star is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer to provide engineering leadership and design support for the mechanical components of medium voltage, mobile power transformers, and mobile substations.

What You Will Do

Design, verify, and support the mechanical aspects of transformer production, including generating 3D designs, creating shop drawings, and ensuring design accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 2–5 years of combined experience in power transformer design and engineering, with at least 2 years focused on mechanical design
• 8+ years of combined experience in power transformer design and engineering, with at least 7 years focused on mechanical design
• Proficiency in CAD software
• In-depth knowledge of power transformer design, materials, and standards
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teams
