Senior Technical Writer

KION is seeking a senior technical writer to join their team, transforming complex data into high-quality technical information for automation & robotics. The role involves working closely with engineer and product teams to deliver audience-specific content that supports human learning and AI-based applications.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Technical Writing experience
• Clear, concise technical writing and editing skills
• Familiarity with structured content tools or willingness to learn
• Attention to detail and consistency in terminology and formatting
• Collaboration and communication with cross functional teams
• Experience in crafting technical or product documentation from engineering data or SME input
• Proficiency in DITA
• Solid understanding of structured content best practices for human and machine (AI) consumption
• Hands on experience using authoring or content management tools
• Experience collaborating with engineers or cross functional teams to capture and validate information
• Exposure to global content needs, including translation or localization workflows
• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communications, Engineering, or a related field
• Foundational knowledge of technical writing principles or structured content practices
• Certification in technical communication or content development
