Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Merkle is seeking a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to own and evolve their AWS infrastructure, with responsibilities including owning and evolving AWS infrastructure at scale, designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and IaC practices, and building and operating end-to-end observability. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years hands-on experience with large-scale AWS production environments, deep proficiency with Kubernetes and EKS, strong IaC skills with Terraform, and experience with CI/CD, log ingestion, and APM.

Requirements

• 5+ years hands-on experience with large-scale AWS production environments
• Deep proficiency with Kubernetes and EKS
• Strong IaC skills with Terraform
• Proven CI/CD experience with Jenkins and GitHub
• Hands-on experience with the Elastic Stack and log ingestion pipelines at scale
• Experience with New Relic for APM and infrastructure monitoring
• Proficiency in Python and Bash
• Solid grasp of AWS security services: GuardDuty, Security Hub, WAF, Shield, KMS, IAM
• Experience with HashiCorp Vault for secrets management
• Strong networking fundamentals in cloud-native environments
