Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant (MA) supports providers in delivering high-quality, efficient patient care within a fast-paced medical dermatology practice.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA) preferred
• 1+ year of clinical experience in a medical setting; dermatology experience preferred.
• Professional communication and interpersonal skills is a must.
• Strong understanding of clinical workflows and patient care processes
• Excellent documentation and EMR skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-volume environment
• Strong attention to detail, particularly with specimen handling and labeling
• Comfort assisting with minor surgical procedures
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
• Ability to stand for extended periods, have manual dexterity to handle instruments and equipment, and the ability to lift and move supplies (up to 25 lbs) as needed.
