Distributed Cloud | API and Integration Architect

Devoteam seeks a Distributed Cloud | API and Integration Architect to join its multidisciplinary team of Cloud experts, Designers, Business consultants, Security experts, Engineers, Developers, and other extraordinary talents. The role involves potentiating API first design approach, designing APIs, and producing respective YAML, as well as setting best practices, standards, security setup, metrics, rate limiting, error handling, and versioning for API use.

Requirements

• Architectural Mastery: Expert knowledge of modern architectural patterns, including Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Microservices, and Event-Driven Design (EDA).
• API Communication: Deep understanding of both synchronous (RESTful APIs) and asynchronous (Async APIs) communication techniques, such as Kafka or WebSockets.
• Essential Formats (Mandatory): Proficiency in core data and messaging formats: JSON, XML, and SOAP (Web Services).
• API Specification: Experience defining design standards and utilizing formal API specification formats, such as OpenAPI (YAML/JSON).
• Platform Experience (Valued): Experience with enterprise-grade API Management Platforms (e.g., Apigee, Mulesoft, Azure API Management, AWS API Gateway).
• Specific Gateway Knowledge (Strong Plus): Practical experience with high-performance gateways like IBM API Connect, IBM DataPower, and/or SAP Process Orchestration (SAP PO).
• Documentation and Governance: Proven ability to create and maintain high-quality API documentation and specifications, and ensure the enforcement of API governance best practices throughout the lifecycle.
