Senior Cybersecurity Engineer (Security Assessment)

Role Overview

As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, you will support Dexcom's security assessment program by driving the adoption of security best practices through technical security assessments. You will leverage your expertise and existing internal processes and tools to deliver thorough and actionable recommendations, manage relationships with stakeholders and ensure timely execution of projects.

What You Will Do

You will support or manage the full lifecycle of vendor, application, compliance, and security assessments, including launch and coordination. You will leverage your technical expertise to progress technical security assessments of new tools, applications and systems independently.

You possess a BS in Cybersecurity, Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience. Your 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT; 3+ years hands-on technical security experience. Your proven experience performing technical security assessments.

Requirements

• BS in Cybersecurity, Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT; 3+ years hands-on technical security experience
• Proven experience performing technical security assessments
• Knowledge breadth across a variety of network and security infrastructures and best practices
• Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, CIS Controls)
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management capabilities
• Excellent organizational and project management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing effectively and adapting to changing priorities
