Manager Operations Accounting

Role Overview

The Operations Accounting Manager leads supervisors and team leads across key operational accounting functions, including Capex, LOE, G&A, ARO, ad valorem taxes, project services, real estate accounting, and FERC reporting. This role owns end-to-end processes, including month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls, while driving consistency, scalability, and efficiency.

Act as a key accounting partner to Operations, supporting Capex, LOE, accruals, and reporting inquiries. Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and team leads, fostering accountability and career growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a similar discipline
• Minimum of seven (7+) years of experience in accounting for an upstream oil and gas company with at least three (3+) of those in the operations accounting function
• Five (5+) or more years of experience in progressive accounting or tax leadership roles
• Strong working knowledge of oil and gas accounting and general accounting principles
• Strong time management and project management skills
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and collaborative skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with internal controls, principles, and practices
