As a Senior Service Technician, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration systems in supermarkets, convenience stores, and food service establishments. You will troubleshoot and repair rack systems, self-contained cases, HVAC units, and VFDs. The role involves responding to service calls, communicating with customers, and participating in on-call rotation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 5–7 years of experience in supermarket refrigeration, HVAC, and EMS system repair and maintenance
- EPA 608 Certification (Type I & II minimum; Universal preferred)
- Valid state-issued driver’s license
- Effective communication in English (spoken and written); Spanish proficiency is a plus
- Strong customer service skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
- Proficiency with computer software used for work order management, scheduling, and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel)
- In-depth knowledge of supermarket refrigeration systems, including energy management systems
- Ability to mentor and support the development of junior technicians
- Willingness to work independently with minimal supervision
