Security Officer

The Security Officer role at Down East Community & Calais Community Hospital is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of patients, visitors, and employees. The officer must be able to communicate effectively, handle difficult situations, and perform physical tasks such as lifting and pushing heavy objects.

Requirements

• High school graduate, trade school graduate or equivalent
• Ability to routinely use maintenance products and solutions
• Must be able to follow instructions both written and verbal
• Adapts well to sudden changes
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Communicates non-routine items/issues to the Security Supervisor
• Maintains courteous and respectful manner with other departments
• Always displays a positive and professional attitude
