Electromechanic Technician

Role Overview

The Electromechanic Technician is responsible for ensuring equipment uptime through timely and thorough problem resolution and repair. The equipment includes Fillers, Cappers, Pasteurizers, Packers, Palletizers, Conveyors, and Stretch Wrappers. Performs problem resolution and repair of auxiliary equipment, such as chillers, air compressors, reverse osmosis systems, boilers, other water filtration equipment, and general plant maintenance.

What You Will Do

Solves mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems using schematics, technical drawings, and test equipment. Provides technical support to the production team. Assists in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma; Associate's degree in manufacturing, manufacturing technology, mechatronics, industrial manufacturing, manufacturing automation, or other related manufacturing specialization preferred.
• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in a similar position.
• Experience in high-speed manufacturing, bottling, beverages, packaging, or canning industries preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and resolve problems in multiple departments.
• Experience with the following technologies: Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), servo drives, and servo motors.
• Rotating equipment such as rotary presses or fillers.
• Thermodynamics, heat transfer, or plastic processing.
• Krones or Techniblend equipment.
• HVAC, including chillers and/or air compressors.
• Basic experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics for problem-solving; electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic.
• Ability to read and interpret process diagrams and instrumentation.
• Skill in the use of shop equipment, such as hydraulic and mechanical presses, bench grinders, drills, lathes, and various electric tools.
• Skill in manufacturing capabilities such as cutting and welding (MIG, TIG, or electrode) preferred.
• Skill in repairing VFDs, motors, and servo controllers, communication systems (ASI-BUS, CAN-BUS, PROFI-BUS, Ethernet), PLC input/output cards, and safety modules preferred.
• Proficient skills with precision measurement equipment, such as calibrators, marking indicators, hole calibrators, and depth calibrators.
• Willingness to be a technical leader and trainer within a specific area of the plant or machine shop.
• Need to use personal tool box and basic personal tools.
• Safety mindset, continuous improvement, and solution-oriented.
• Requires bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Requires ability to obtain a TN visa.
