A Nuclear Turbine Maintenance Technician is a competent, skilled mechanic in all aspects of nuclear plant mechanical maintenance. Work performed requires a broad knowledge of plant mechanical maintenance fundamentals and ability to function as part of a team while performing high quality preventive and corrective maintenance on nuclear plant equipment to maintain optimum levels of equipment reliability.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- One and one-half (1 1/2) years of directly related experience
- Two-year technical school degree, or equivalent experience or training
- Prior experience in rigging and lifting
- Possess ACAD Accredited Program Qualification to operate Cab Operated Polar or Gantry Cranes to perform NUREG-0612 lifts in accordance with site specific load path procedures
- CNC machining skills and experience
- Basic understanding of power tool operation and precision tool usage
- Demonstrated diagnostic and analytical skills
- Demonstrated proficiency utilizing advanced computer skills
- Demonstrated experience with, and support of, following safety processes administrative procedures and technical procedures
- Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated effective analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to deliver superior results within allocated time through effective prioritization, scheduling, planning and execution of assigned work
- Demonstrated the ability to work as part of a team, be a self-starter, exercise flexibility, and take personal responsibility for assigned accountabilities
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing processes, regulations, responsibilities, and work environments
- Prior nuclear power plant experience
- Demonstrated leadership ability
