The Project Manager is responsible for project management, leadership, profitability and client management for a design team. The role includes project management, financial performance, loss prevention, budgeting, workload and staff balancing, preparation of technical proposals, monitoring of project budgets, staff supervision and scheduling of key projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- 7+ years’ experience in Civil Site Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration required
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to maintain and operate personal and/or company vehicle
- Familiar with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Knowledge of Truck and Turning & Modeling software
- In depth knowledge of the planning and zoning processes
- Knowledge of Hydrologic and Hydraulic Stormwater Design
- Proficient in design and drafting capabilities
- Proficient grading and drainage design skills
- Utility design experience including pump station and force mains
- Experience dealing with regulatory agencies and review professionals
- Proficient in the use of available mapping websites for due diligence and site investigation purposes
- Construction oversight experience for site work
- Proficient in the use of the following design tools for site engineering:
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Software including Word, Excel, Outlook and Project
- Proficient in the use of Bluebeam Revu and/or Adobe to prepare design document markups
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Independent and critical thinking abilities
- Superior organizational and delegation ability
- Ability to work and lead in a team-oriented environment with a focus on staff development and mentoring
