Material Handler

Role Overview

Material Handler will work in a warehouse environment, ensuring safe and efficient execution of shipping, receiving, and material handling tasks. The role requires collaboration, problem-solving, and leadership skills to manage warehouse teams and tasks.

What You Will Do

The Material Handler will perform duties such as operating material handling equipment, managing company-owned equipment, reading and following material request orders, and maintaining accurate inventory counts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Programs
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record over the past 2 years
• Ability to listen carefully and follow instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedural documents; basic math skills
• Demonstrated ability to be proactive and useful at the jobsite
• Positive attitude and the ability to work on a team to achieve goals and objectives
• High attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Willingness to work days, nights and weekends as project requires
• Self-motivated and excellent work ethic
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure; use whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
• Demonstrated team leadership abilities
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate directly with clients in a professional manner
• General knowledge of collecting and reporting data
• Ability to organize and manage documents pertaining to inventory and logistics
