Social Worker (Part-time)

Easterseals Academy is seeking a Part-time Social Worker to provide therapeutic services to children with autism, emotional disability, developmental delays, or intellectual disability. The role involves providing social work services, advocacy, crisis intervention, and support to students, staff, and families, along with assisting with IEP development and documentation. This position is based at the Easterseals Academy - Tinley Park Campus.

Requirements

• Adhere to all mandated reporters and OIG guidelines
• Complete goal sheets for students receiving direct and/or consulting services
• Assist with activities, materials, and prompting hierarchies for IEP goals
• Provide therapy minutes and documentation on student IEPs
• Update and provide progress reports quarterly
• Participate in all scheduled in-house training
• Complete required in-house and district-mandated documentation and billing requirements
• Assist classrooms during extracurricular activities and field trips
• Maintain communication with parents and guardians
• Provide advocacy, crisis intervention, and support staff
• Coordinate services with outside agencies
• Address student family situations
• Schedule parent group meetings
• Supervise interns
• Act as an internal case manager
