Job Description
Easterseals Academy is seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide a therapeutic environment for students with disabilities. This role focuses on ensuring student health, safety, and well-being through implementation of IEP goals, creating a supportive classroom environment, and providing direct instruction. This position is an onsite position and is a part of the school districts' referral process.
Requirements
- Develop lesson plans in alignment with IEP goals and assessments.
- Perform assessments at least 10 days prior to each student’s annual review.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement strategies for student progress.
- Mentor, direct, and support classroom and 1:1 aides.
- Ensure compliance with all mandated reporting requirements.
