We are looking for a driven and consultative Sales Manager to join the UK Metals Expo team at Easyfairs. As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by selling exhibition space, sponsorship packages and year-round digital opportunities to organisations across the metals ecosystem.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' B2B sales experience, with a clear track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Experience in event/exhibition sales selling exhibition space and/or sponsorship for B2B events OR in selling to industrial/manufacturing sectors.
- Proven experience in new business development (outbound calling, prospecting, pipeline building).
- Experience in account management, including renewals and upselling existing customers.
- Confident and professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage senior decision-makers.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills with a consultative, needs-based approach.
- Good organisation and time-management skills; able to manage a busy pipeline and administrative tasks (contracts, CRM updates).
- Willingness to travel within the UK for client meetings and to attend UK Metals Expo and selected competitor events.
- Experience working with or selling into the metals, engineering, manufacturing, construction or broader industrial sectors.
- Knowledge of key themes in the metals industry such as sustainability, circular economy, net zero, supply chain resilience, productivity and automation.
- Familiarity with working to structured activity KPIs (calls, meetings, proposals, pipeline coverage) and comfortable in a performance-driven environment.
- Experience using a CRM system (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot or similar) for pipeline management and reporting.
- Ability to interpret basic market data (competitor analysis, attendee profiles, company news) to identify new opportunities.
