Principal Engineer - Power Electronics

Eaton is seeking a Principal Engineer - Power Electronics to lead power electronics design and development, shape and steer major changes in projects or programs, and provide technical leadership. The role is responsible for guiding and nurturing other engineers, collaborating with mechanical and firmware engineers, and keeping abreast of the latest power electronics technologies and business trends.

Requirements

• Lead power electronics design and development, taking full ownership of assigned tasks or projects.
• Design, model, simulate, and develop power electronics, including analog and digital circuits for power conversion and protection.
• Develop technical requirements and create reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with mechanical, PCB layout, and firmware engineers to develop and validate designs.
• Guides and nurtures other PE engineers to enhance their technical skills and experience.
• Supports the development of PE CoE strategy, direction, and priorities.
• Keeps abreast of the latest power electronics technologies and business trends, applies this knowledge to power conversion and protection, and identifies new opportunities.
• Promotes engineering excellence in both the PE CoE and the BU’s teams.
• Travel up to 15% domestic and international.
