School Finance Manager- Charter Schools (CFO/Director of Finance)

EdOps is seeking a School Finance Manager to serve as an outsourced CFO for a portfolio of 5-8 schools, advising leaders and Boards on financial and operational policies, strategic decisions, and long-term financial planning. The role involves producing forward-looking financial forecasts, setting budgets, and leading finance strategy development. The ideal candidate will have experience in school finance management, strong quantitative analysis and strategic thinking skills, and excellent client communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

• Experience excelling in a School Finance Management role
• Experience as part of a School Leadership Team or working very closely with a School Leadership Team
• Comfort with accounting
• Intermediate Excel knowledge
• Strong quantitative analysis, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfort interacting with, advising, and challenging C-Level leaders in schools
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Typically, 10-15 years of work or post-secondary educational experience
