The Diagnostic Medical Sonography Instructor is responsible for ensuring the fulfillment of educational goals and objectives, teaching, guiding, and evaluating learning experiences in the classroom, and meeting student retention goals.
Requirements
- Teaching, guiding, and evaluating all learning experiences in the classroom environment
- Teaching classes as assigned
- Supervising and instructing students during clinical rotations and laboratory
- Carrying out the policy and procedures set by Blue Cliff College
- Keeping records of grades and attendance of students and submitting them to the Registrar as required
- Establishing and posting office hours and makeup time schedule
- Being available to serve as consultant or adviser to students or prospective students
- Being available to assist with student registration and orientation functions
- Participating in ongoing student assessment activities and participating in student problem-solving activities in collaboration with the Director of Sonography
- Assisting in the recruitment, admissions, withdrawal, and graduation of students
- Attending and participating in professional meetings, conferences, workshops, courses, and ongoing development
- Attending meetings of the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Faculty and Program Advisory Committee and serving on committees of either as appointed or elected
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Director of Sonography, Director of Education, or Campus Director
