Health Records Specialist I

We are hiring a Health Records Specialist I to manage accurate and timely intake, review, and filing of patient documents in the EHR. The Specialist role will be responsible for ensuring proper scanning, indexing, and error correction, supporting audits, and maintaining compliance with documentation protocols.

Requirements

• RHIA or CEHRS certification (must be obtained within 18 months)
• 2+ years’ experience in medical records, health information management, or related healthcare setting
• Proficient in English; additional languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese) preferred
• Skilled with EHR systems, document scanning, and indexing software
• Detail-oriented with accurate data entry and document handling
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA regulations
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Effective communicator and team player in fast-paced environments
