Senior Mechanical Engineer

Role Overview

Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, the Senior Mechanical Engineer will support scopes of work activities associated with components, assemblies, and machines in the Centrifuge Project. The role requires ensuring compliance to Centrus standards and practices.

What You Will Do

Design, build, and troubleshoot high vacuum systems, helium leak detection equipment, composite parts and assemblies, machined parts and assemblies, and structural and dynamic systems. Develop specifications for fabrication materials and equipment, and manage multiple priorities to meet schedule and budget.

We're looking for candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Nuclear, or Aerospace Engineering, and 3-5 years of experience in a professional environment. Stronger candidates will have experience with lean manufacturing, project management, and CAD experience (SolidWorks experience a plus).

• FEA experience (Ansys experience a plus)
• Q-level or DOD TS security clearance
