
Job description
The Lead Building Engineer will oversee the coordination and completion of preventive maintenance and repairs of mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment at a high-rise office building in Center City Philadelphia. The role involves managing and directing maintenance staff, recommending changes in procedures, and collaborating with the Facilities Manager and building owner.
The Lead Building Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the performance of facility maintenance employees, managing maintenance staff, and responding to service calls and emergency situations. They will also learn and comply with company and customer practices.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of six years of practical facilities management experience, including experience in a supervisory or management role. They will possess an aptitude for assessing building support functions and be able to operate computerized maintenance management systems.
