
Job description
As Manager, Plant & Operations, you will oversee a complex operation at Royal Inland Hospital, managing preventative/corrective maintenance and multiple building projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical and electrical equipment meets operational/statutory requirements and supports contractual goals. You will lead a team and be responsible for programs that ensure the resilience of building systems, including lifecycle works and operational requirements.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include oversight of a team, management of preventative/corrective maintenance, maintenance of accurate/current SOPs, leadership of Continuous Quality Improvement objectives, and financial and departmental management. You will also be responsible for operational jurisdiction of all financial objectives, compliance with Health and Safety standards, equipment and facility performance monitoring, analysis and reporting.
We are looking for a technical/engineering education background with expertise in complex mechanical and electrical assets. You should have 5 years of engineering management experience in a maintenance environment, with experience in correctional and/or other related facility maintenance environments. You should be a critical thinker with exceptional analytical and problem solving skills, SLA/KPI interpretation skills, and experience with contract management.
