Sheetmetal Helper

Role Overview

Bahnson Mechanical Systems is seeking a Helper to work as part of a team daily, following all safety rules and regulations. The Helper will work under the guidance of a Field Foreman or Field Superintendent and will be responsible for identifying and gathering material for installation, measuring, cutting, and prepping piping and sheet metal for installation, and laying out and installing piping supports and sheet metal.

What You Will Do

The Helper will assist with installation of piping systems, sheet metal, and equipment, and will operate lifts, equipment, and power tools as needed. They will also remove and dispose of scrap or excess material to the specified areas and communicate any foreseen project goal hindrances to the supervisor.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have a high school or general education diploma with good math skills, 2+ years of experience in piping the field or fabrication shop, and knowledge of basic piping systems. They will also possess fundamental construction skills, including basic knowledge of the use of hand tools and power tools, and experience reading and interpreting basic print and sketches.
