
Job description
Serve as a liaison between patient/family, payers, Patient Financial Services, and other health care team members. Facilitate patient tracking and billing by obtaining/verifying accurate and complete demographic information, financially securing, and collecting out-of-pocket responsibility from guarantors to maximize hospital reimbursement.
Maintain compliance with regulations, provide excellent customer service, protect patient safety, answer phone calls, provide and obtain signatures, enter demographic information, verify insurance benefits, obtain insurance authorizations, maximize collection process, scan registration and clinical documentation, assist with patient transfers, respond to medical record requests, maintain cash drawer, and maintain logs.
