Paralegal (Landlord–Tenant) — Retainer / Contract

We're seeking an experienced Landlord–Tenant Paralegal to handle court-related work for non-payment cases and related filings, primarily in Pennsylvania Magisterial District Courts (MDJ).

Requirements

• Prepare, file, and track landlord–tenant complaints, notices, affidavits, and post-judgment documents (writs, possession).
• Coordinate service of process; maintain a precise MDJ hearing calendar and appearance schedule.
• Appear in MDJ as Empire’s authorized representative/agent; present facts, exhibits, and requested relief.
• Monitor statutory timelines (judgment, writ, possession, lockout) and escalate matters promptly.
• Keep forms, templates, and workflows aligned with PA rules and local practices; update for rule changes.
• Communicate with property managers and outside counsel (as needed for appeals).
