
Job description
The Database Support Manager (DSM) oversees the team responsible for the overall success of globally dispersed databases, supporting 10,000 users across 230 overseas posts, 29 domestic passport agencies, and multiple data centers. The DSM is responsible for monitoring and managing the database environment, optimizing performance, availability, and capacity, and automating manual maintenance.
Responsible for day-to-day database operations, training, staffing, and operational efficiency of the database operations team. Monitors project scope, schedule, and budget, and provides coordination between resource managers and supervisors.
Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in database administration, with a strong background in Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server platforms. Must possess an Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification and a Top Secret Clearance.
