Power Systems Engineer

Role Overview

Conduct engineering studies on utility power systems, working under direct supervision of senior consultants and directors. Requires a strong foundational knowledge of electrical engineering and experience conducting simulations and analytical studies of electric power systems.

What You Will Do

Perform complex modeling and technical analysis of power systems, develop preliminary engineering deliverables, and respond to technical inquiries from jurisdictional planning authorities.

Requirements

• Electrical Engineering degree from an accredited ABET university with emphasis on power systems
• Six months of experience conducting simulations and analytical studies of electric power systems
• Strong foundational knowledge of electrical engineering
• Excellent communication skills
• Demonstrated knowledge in at least one high-level programming language
• Highly analytical mindset
• Minimum of 12 hours in Power Systems Engineering Coursework
• Minimum of a Bachelors degree in electrical engineering with emphasis on power systems
