Senior Power Systems Engineer

Role Overview

EnerNex seeks a Senior Power Systems Engineer to lead complex power system studies and consulting engagements for utilities, system operators, developers, and regulators. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on power system analysis experience and can independently execute technical work.

What You Will Do

Lead and execute advanced power system studies, apply engineering judgment to evaluate system performance, and develop practical recommendations for clients. Serve as a technical point of contact on projects and develop detailed engineering models using industry-standard tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (Power Systems focus preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience performing power system analysis or related engineering work
• Demonstrated experience with power system modeling and simulation tools commonly used in utility and interconnection studies
• Solid understanding of transmission and/or distribution system behavior, protection concepts, and power quality considerations
• Experience working with or supporting utilities, ISOs/RTOs, renewable developers, or regulatory entities
• Strong technical writing skills, with experience producing formal engineering reports suitable for external stakeholders
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multi-disciplinary consulting team
