Director of Construction Operations

Role Overview

The Director of Construction will be responsible for supporting all operational aspects of construction projects, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality standards are met. This role contributes to the organization's strategic goals by ensuring projects are on schedule and meeting client expectations.

What You Will Do

Specific responsibilities include enforcing company policies, collaborating with executive leadership, providing expertise to project teams, championing a culture of safety, coordinating with HSE, monitoring safety performance metrics, reviewing field operations, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring seamless coordination between project managers and subcontractor field teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related area
• Minimum 15 years' experience in managing large, complex commercial construction projects
• At least 5 years in a leadership role
• Proven track record of success facilitating progressive organizational change and development within a growing organization
• Excellent judgment and creative problem solving skills
• Strong mentoring, coaching experience to a team with diverse levels of expertise
• Entrepreneurial team player who can multitask
• Superior management skills; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers
• Self-reliant, good problem solver, results oriented
• Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior management, the segment group's corporate management, and staff
• Ability to operate as an effective tactical as well as strategic thinker

Benefits

• Pay Range: USD $154,530.00 - USD $206,340.00 /Yr.
• 50% - 75% travel required
