
Job description
The Energy Engineer PE III is responsible for overseeing the evaluation and optimization of energy consumption for commercial buildings and applicable systems. They will frequently interact with the entire team to ensure duties and responsibilities are fulfilled. The role involves analyzing, developing, and evaluating systems, improving and maintaining current systems, and designing and drafting blueprints.
The Energy Engineer PE III will oversee the collection, compilation, and analysis of utility consumption data and rates. They will ensure all team members develop a comprehensive understanding of utility supply-side opportunities, procurement logistics, and energy efficiency rebate and incentive programs. The role also involves energy auditing, measurement and verification, remote monitoring, and energy modeling.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, 10+ years of experience in a related field, and advanced knowledge of commercial HVAC systems. They will also have experience with energy savings projects, life cycle cost analyses, and certifications such as CEM, CMVP, or CEP. The role requires strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills, as well as expertise in energy modeling software, building automation systems, and data analytics tools.
