The manufacturing engineer will collaborate with the engineering and operations teams to improve and expand our production system, focusing on improving key metrics including safety, quality, labor, and costs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, chemical, or manufacturing preferred)
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
- Superior communication and organizational skills
- Background working on the shop floor with operations staff to assist in solving issues.
- Understand operational theory of automatic transmissions.
- Experience with assembly of complex hydraulic/mechanical assemblies.
- Proven experience in tracking and understanding manufacturing operations and implementing solutions to drive continuous improvement.
- Functional in AutoCAD, Solidworks, Excel, Power-point, and other related programs.
- Solid mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills with the ability to multi-task
- Flexibility regarding priority changes.
- Fluent in speaking, reading and writing English.
- Ability to speak Spanish is preferred.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedures and/or safety manuals.
- Self-starter and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
