The Director, Government Relations – Federal will serve as EQT's senior federal representative in Washington, D.C., developing and driving the company's federal legislative and regulatory strategy in alignment with enterprise priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 7-12+ years of relevant experience, including direct Capitol Hill experience or senior-level federal public affairs work
- Deep understanding of the federal legislative process, with familiarity in energy, infrastructure, natural resources, environmental, or tax policy
- Proven ability to build and sustain relationships with Members of Congress, senior staff, federal agencies, and trade association leadership
- Strong political instincts and the ability to anticipate shifts in the policy landscape and adjust strategy accordingly
- Experience managing external consultants or lobbying firms and aligning multi-channel advocacy efforts
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently, lead without formal authority, and influence across a matrixed organization
