The Eugene Family YMCA is seeking a Youth Development Program Leader 1 to work with youth and teens in the Youth Wing. The Program Leader will develop and implement program activities, build positive relationships, and provide safe supervision. They will also be responsible for following YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention, and emergency procedures.
Requirements
- Adult/Child/Infant CPR & First Aid and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date
- Oregon Food Handlers certification within 14 days of hire date
- Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect, Prevention Is Better Than Treatment, Introduction to Child Care Health & Safety, and Foundations for Learning training taken within 14 days of hire date
- Acquire 15 hours of formal training or education annually (1.25 hours per month) related to childcare
- Attend New Staff Orientation within 10 days of hire date
- Follows program lesson plans and implements culturally relevant activities in a developmentally appropriate manner
- Serves as a positive role model and demonstrates professional behavior
- Maintains ongoing communication with supervisor
- Follows YMCA policies and procedures
- Is up-to-date and follows guidelines put forth by the Office of Childcare
