Senior Environmental Risk Assessment Specialist

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) is looking for a Senior Environmental Risk Assessment Specialist to provide expert scientific and regulatory support for environmental risk assessment across Agency activities, including the implementation of environmental risk assessment provisions for the new human pharma legislation. The successful candidate will drive the implementation of the New Pharmaceutical Legislation in collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders, with a particular focus on its impact on Environmental Risk Assessment (ERA) for human medicines.

Requirements

• University degree in Life sciences, chemistry, pharmacy, pharmacology, medical/biomedical sciences or related subject
• At least 9 years' professional experience in environmental risk assessment or a related field
• Experience in ERA as applied within the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory authorities or academic research
• Expert knowledge and understanding of ERA for chemicals and/or pharmaceuticals as applied to medicinal product development and regulation
