Senior Power Electronics System Engineer

Role Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Power Electronics System Engineer to lead the design, development, and integration of advanced electronic and high-voltage (HV) systems within a complex engineering environment. This role is suited to a highly skilled engineer with a strong background in power electronics, embedded systems, and full lifecycle (V-cycle) development.

What You Will Do

Lead system engineering activities for high-voltage (HV) subsystems, including power electronics modules such as DC-DC converters and HV distribution systems. Define, develop, and maintain high-level system architecture and technical requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Expertise in analogue and digital electronic design.
• Strong understanding of high-voltage systems and safety-critical design environments.
• Strong knowledge of power electronics, including DC-DC converter design and HV systems integration.
• In-depth understanding of EMC/EMI compliance and associated testing standards.
• Proficiency in embedded systems development and hardware/software integration.
• Knowledge of vehicle/system-level diagnostics and communication protocols.
• Strong understanding of PCB design, layout, and manufacturing standards (e.g. IPC-610, IPC-620).
• Ability to define and manage system-level requirements and architectures.
