Systems Engineer – Homologation & Safety

Role Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a Systems Engineer specialising in Homologation & Safety to support the delivery of high-performance vehicle programmes within a complex automotive engineering environment.

What You Will Do

Support the implementation and continuous improvement of a Safety Management System (SMS) across the organisation, identify and document homologation and type approval requirements, and ensure regulatory requirements are clearly translated into engineering deliverables.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline
• Strong academic or professional background in automotive systems and vehicle development
• Good understanding of systems engineering principles and lifecycle processes (V-cycle)
• Strong knowledge of automotive homologation, type approval processes, and regulatory frameworks
• Understanding of ADAS and automated driving systems, including associated legislation and standards
• Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and translate them into technical engineering requirements
• Experience with requirements management and traceability tools/processes
• Familiarity with functional safety principles and safety management systems
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate technical and regulatory concepts clearly
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage complex documentation and compliance activities
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and accuracy
