Facilities Technician

Role Overview

The Facilities Technician will work in partnership with the Manager of Facilities to support the campus, responsible for installation, repair, and upkeep operations of the UAA campus. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in building repair and upkeep, with excellent organizational and leadership abilities.

What You Will Do

The Technician will work on day-to-day maintenance for UAA's twenty-eight acre campus, monitoring equipment inventory, executing repair and installation activities, and maintaining maintenance logs.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of facilities machinery and equipment, landscaping, pool upkeep, dorm upkeep, and general building maintenance, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
• Proven experience as a facilities technician role
• Experience in executing building/maintenance repairs
• Good understanding of the technical features of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems
• Strong knowledge facilities machines and equipment
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Degree from a vocational school is a plus
• Degree in business administration, facility management or similar field is a plus
