Recreation Aide

The Recreation Aide assists in planning, organizing, and implementing meaningful programs for residents in a long-term care home. They also maintain records, communicate with residents and staff, and participate in team meetings. The position requires a college diploma in Recreation, Leisure Studies, Gerontology or equivalent, and previous experience working with seniors. The Recreation Aide must be an energetic, compassionate person who enjoys working with the elderly.

Requirements

• College diploma in Recreation, Leisure Studies, Gerontology or equivalent
• Previous experience working with seniors
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Valid provincial driver's license (Class 4; Class F)
• Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check)
