Cloud Engineer Lead

Role Overview

As Cloud Engineer Lead at Fedex Dataworks, you will help set up a global Azure/GCP infrastructure for the new FedEx data-driven e-commerce platform. You will design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure across multiple geographical regions, ensuring high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery.

What You Will Do

Create and configure data processing and web application infrastructure using Cloud Agnostic tools supporting Azure and GCP. Design, implement, maintain and publish reusable code templates, starter repositories, scaffolding and boilerplate infrastructure modules.

Seven years' experience in cloud engineering or related field, experience providing leadership in a general planning or consulting setting, strong oral and written communication skills, English is a must.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in computer science, engineering, or information systems and/or equivalent formal training or work experience
• Programming skills (such as Java, Kotlin, Node or others)
• Experience in scripting languages: Bash/Python
• Seven (7) years' experience in cloud engineering or related field
• Experience providing leadership in a general planning or consulting setting
• Some experience as a leader or a senior member of multi-function project teams
• Strong oral and written communication skills, English is a must
• Experience in implementing large-scale services across multi-regions
• IaC: automated infrastructure provisioning using Terraform
• Proven experience authoring reusable IaC modules (Terraform/ARM) and creating starter repos/boilerplates and pipeline templates
• Practical experience and expertise in monitoring
• Hands-on with Microservice deployment and configuration using manifest files/HELM
• Good understanding of environments strategy
