Network Engineer, Cloud

Role Overview

FedPoint is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer, Cloud to lead critical networking initiatives and help shape a secure, high performing infrastructure across both on premises and cloud environments. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments, enjoys solving challenging problems, and wants to make a direct impact on enterprise level systems. This position is going to be 51% on prem network and 49% AWS cloud networking.

What You Will Do

Lead network architecture initiatives across cloud and on premises environments, own and resolve network outages, design, implement, and support secure networking solutions, manage AWS cloud networking components, implement infrastructure as code using Terraform, monitor network performance, and partner with security teams to enforce compliance with NIST and HIPAA standards.

Requirements

• 7 or more years of experience in network engineering within a 24 by 7 environment
• Strong expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, and cloud networking
• Hands on experience with AWS and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform
• Experience with technologies such as Cisco, Palo Alto, load balancers, and web application firewalls
• Knowledge of network protocols and services including DNS, DHCP, BGP, and VPNs
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to perform deep root cause analysis
• Experience supporting compliance frameworks such as NIST
• Ability to lead initiatives, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively
