Senior Cloud Engineer

Role Overview

FedPoint is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of our cloud infrastructure. This role plays a critical part in shaping cloud strategy, establishing architecture standards, and ensuring secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions that align with organizational goals.

What You Will Do

Lead migration of on premises infrastructure to AWS with minimal disruption, design and implement scalable and resilient cloud architecture, manage AWS services, monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
• 8 years of experience in cloud engineering or DevOps with strong focus on AWS
• Deep knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps practices and automated security tools
• Hands on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience building and managing CI CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitHub
• Strong knowledge of networking, cloud security, and system administration
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, ELK, or Splunk
• Strong problem solving, communication, and collaboration skills
