Maintenance Technician/Journeyman

Role Overview

The Maintenance Journeyman and Electrical Maintenance Journeyman are responsible for ensuring the maintenance department works towards reducing downtime and improving the life of equipment at Ventra Fowlerville. They fabricate, manufacture, calibrate, recondition, and repair machine tools, jigs, fixtures, punches, and gauges used in the manufacture, overhaul, maintenance, and repair of equipment in the Mold, Paint, and/or Assembly departments.

What You Will Do

Troubleshoot and repair machinery, provide mechanical and electrical support to plant machinery and equipment, fabricate sheet metal parts and safety guards, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent
• At least 6 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
• Journeyman's card and/or completed Ventra Fowlerville's Upgrader program
• Attention to detail
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work with different levels and classifications of employees and departments
