Staff Software Engineer: Applied AI

We're looking for a Staff Software Engineer to build cutting-edge AI agents and applications that make Flexport's operations smarter, faster, and increasingly autonomous. You'll design and ship end-to-end AI agents that handle real logistics work, crossing organizational boundaries and working directly with operators and domain experts to turn ambiguous problems into shipped solutions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong product instincts and ability to identify what's worth building
• LLM fluency and experience with agent patterns, RAG, prompt engineering, tool use, and evaluation
• Full-stack capability in TypeScript and Next.js
• Entrepreneurial drive and ability to thrive in ambiguity
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across teams and disciplines
