Job description
The Completions Applications Engineer serves as a technical leader and subject matter expert in the design, modeling, and optimization of well completions, with a strong emphasis on conventional and unconventional wells, horizontal wells, permanent Downhole Gauge systems, Artificial Lift (ESP, Gas Lift, Plunger Lift and PCP). This role bridges subsurface engineering, reservoir characterization, and completion design to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions that maximize production and well economics across global assets.
Design and optimize completions for horizontal wells, including Downhole gauge systems, Cable protector placement, Cased hole completions, Packers for Artificial Systems, Perform completion hydraulics modeling to predict flow behavior, pressure losses, and production performance, Conduct nodal analysis and integrate artificial lift strategies (e.g., gas lift, ESP, PCP) into completion designs, Select appropriate tools, materials, and equipment for specific reservoir and well conditions.
Deep technical expertise in completions and reservoir integration, Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, Ability to translate complex data into actionable engineering solutions, Excellent communication and client-facing skills, High level of ownership, urgency, and accountability, Adaptability in fast-paced, high-demand operational environments.
