Paramedic (Days)

The Paramedic performs specific functions as defined by medical protocols under the guidance of the ED physician. This role involves direct patient care, including administrative tasks and assisting the nursing staff in the Emergency Department. Paramedics are licensed professionals and must adhere to department procedures and applicable scope of practice.

Requirements

• Performed approved patient treatments and procedures under supervision of physician.
• Greeting and orienting patients, taking vital signs, and documenting patient information.
• Performing trauma and injury assistance, including mobilization and monitoring patient safety.
• Transporting patients safely, documenting relevant care, and monitoring essential equipment.
• Performing phlebotomy and maintaining proper patient identification and labeling.
