The Registered Respiratory Therapist is a key member of the team providing diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders. They are responsible for initiation and management of Life Support Systems, performing therapy, and supporting the physician with diagnoses and treatment plans. The RRT is responsible for ensuring safe and effective patient care. They must function with limited supervision and rely on education and physician guidance.
