Cyber Defense Analyst

Role Overview

This role involves swiftly assessing and prioritizing security incidents to determine their severity and potential impact. The Cyber Defense Analyst will be responsible for promptly identifying and investigating various threats, initiating timely response actions, and escalating to appropriate teams for further investigation and/or remediation. The role is hybrid, with on-site work in Southeast Michigan.

What You Will Do

Perform initial triage and investigation of various security incidents, conduct daily analysis using a range of tools, investigate alerts across multi-cloud and on-premises environments, and respond to cybersecurity inquiries.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on threat analysis and incident response
• Strong understanding of security frameworks, including MITRE ATT&CK
• Experience with SIEM, EDR/XDR, SOAR, and Sandbox analysis platforms
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
