Visiting Assistant Professor in Philosophy

Teach 24 credit hours per academic year as assigned. Teach Introduction to Philosophy and Introductory Ethics. Demonstrate a commitment to student success in the classroom and during office hours. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• PhD in Philosophy expected within 1 year
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching
• Experience teaching Introduction to Philosophy and/or Ethics
• Experience teaching underrepresented populations
• Area of specialization or competence in metaphysics, philosophy of mind, or indigenous philosophy
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Good organizational skills and the ability to complete tasks within strict timelines
